The management of VMZ - Sopot is taking significant steps to strengthen the company's positions, officially starting a 8 percent increase in base salaries from July 1st. The decision was made after intensive negotiations between the management, trade union organizations of KNSB and KT "Podkrepa" and the Board of Directors.
The Minister of Economy and Industry, Petar Dilov, emphasized the strategic importance of the enterprise, defining it as a key element of the national defense industry. "Our goal is to ensure sustainable jobs and competitiveness," said Minister Dilov.
Executive Director Eng. Ivan Getsov presented details about the company's investment program. A significant part of the plans includes a large-scale reconstruction of production units, especially the Iganovo site, which is undergoing a comprehensive technological upgrade.
Among the most significant projects are two new workshops at the Sopot site, specialized in the production of artillery ammunition. These production units are equipped with high-tech equipment, which is expected to increase the capacity for mechanical processing of parts.
