Protests by public sector employees are starting in Burgas, organized by the "Support" trade unions. The demands are for better working conditions and increased salaries, with an emphasis on the shortage of employees. The protests will cover the entire country.

A series of protests is starting in Burgas, which is expected to provoke serious discussions among civil servants and bring to the forefront the issue of working conditions and pay in the public sector. The organizers of the discontent are two key trade unions - the Regional Trade Union "Support" and the Trade Union of Administrative Employees "Support". The discontent will affect various state institutions, as employees intend to express their dissatisfaction with the existing situation.

The tension among civil servants in Burgas is obviously escalating. It seems that employees are facing increasing difficulties and dissatisfaction, as they are insisting on the fulfillment of their demands, which, according to them, have been neglected for too long.

The chairman of the Regional Trade Union "Support" - Burgas, Ivan Kostadinov, emphasizes the seriousness of the situation. His words reflect widespread discontent: "This is not just in Burgas — the protest is throughout the country. The funds allocated for a wage increase are up to 5%, which is offensive. Our demands are for an increase of at least 20%."

According to Kostadinov, the system is on the verge of collapse. There is a shortage of labor, which further exacerbates the problems. "If 25 inspectors are responsible for over 10,000 companies, the working conditions cannot be met. Inspectors should be increased, not decreased." - he emphasizes.

The trade union assures that the protests will not lead to disruption of services to citizens. They are planned to take place during the lunch break. "They will take place during the lunch break… citizens will not be harmed."

From today, the protests begin throughout the country. In Burgas, employees have planned to go out in front of the building of the National Statistical Institute at a certain time to express their dissatisfaction. The protest is expected to attract public attention and bring to the agenda the issues of working conditions and pay in the state administration. Additional information is also expected in the live broadcast of Eleana Tsanova.
