Promet Steel and Burgas Free University Partner for Qualified Personnel

The metallurgical enterprise "Promet Steel" EAD, located near the village of Debelt, which specializes in the production of hot-rolled steel profiles, announced a partnership with Burgas State University (BSU) "Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov".

The decision is dictated by the company's growing need for highly qualified personnel in key areas such as technical sciences, metallurgy, and mechanical engineering. This collaboration, announced by the university, is key to the future development of production.

"Promet Steel", part of the international mining and metallurgical group "Metinvest" (Metinvest), is taking this step to secure a qualified workforce that will meet the high demands of modern production. The collaboration with BSU will ensure the training and preparation of the necessary specialists.

During a meeting between the university management and representatives of "Promet Steel", the possibility of including Ukrainian citizens residing in Bulgaria in the educational process was also discussed. Options for continuing their education or retraining were discussed. The company expressed its readiness to direct over 50 candidates annually and then provide them with jobs. Currently, over 25 Ukrainian citizens seeking new opportunities are studying at the university.

In response to the needs of the business, the university proposed the creation of one-year professional qualification courses. These courses will be focused on the specialties needed by the enterprise. In order to get acquainted with the conditions, representatives of "Promet Steel" are to visit the laboratories and training base of the university. This step is essential for building a successful and effective educational program.

In addition, the company demonstrated its willingness to invest in scholarship programs for education in "professional bachelor" and "bachelor" degrees. These initiatives will financially support students and motivate them to pursue careers in the field of metallurgy.

The "Promet Steel" plant is an important element in the strategic network of the "Metinvest" group. Its strategic location makes it an important link between Ukraine and global markets. The enterprise uses Ukrainian raw materials for the production of long steel products, which are sold on the international market.
