Higher voter turnout is expected compared to the last elections, with over 3.3 million people expected to go to the polls on April 19th, or about 60% of the adult population living in the country, compared to the 2.57 million who voted in the last parliamentary elections in October 2024, according to a survey by Alpha Research. According to the data, there has been a 5% increase in declared voter turnout in the last week alone.

The survey was conducted by Alpha Research between April 13-15, 2026. It is published on the agency's website and is carried out with its own resources. The survey was conducted among 1000 adult citizens from across the country. A stratified two-stage sample with a quota based on the main socio-demographic characteristics was used. Information was collected through a direct standardized interview with tablets in the homes of the respondents.

The highest electoral support is received by Progressive Bulgaria – 34.2%. GERB-SDS remains second with 19.5%. The third position is taken by PP-DB with 11.6%. The declared support for DPS is 9.4%. Vazrazhdane is emerging as the fifth almost certain party in the 52nd parliament with the support of 5.8%. BSP showed the ability to mobilize during the campaign and finished on the edge of parliamentary representation with 4%, according to Alpha Research.

Below the four percent line remain Siyanie with 3.2%, Velichie with 3%, MECH with 2.8%, There Is Such a People with 1.7%, and APS with 1.3%.

After eight elections in five years and the unsuccessful coalitions in cases where a government was formed, the prevailing attitude among Bulgarian citizens (49%) is for one party to have a majority and to bear all responsibility for governance, according to Alpha Research. For 33%, the government, whatever it may be, needs control and they continue to rely on a coalition formula.

Alpha Research's surveys do not show any serious changes between the beginning of the campaign and its end, the agency adds.
