Upcoming repair activities on the Struma Motorway in Sofia and Kyustendil

The upcoming repair activities on the "Struma" motorway will affect separate sections in the Sofia and Kyustendil regions from June 2 to June 4. On June 2, between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m., in a 400-meter section at km 2 in the direction of Blagoevgrad, traffic will pass only in the overtaking lane, as the emergency and active lanes will be closed for pavement repairs in the area of the OMV "Suhodol" and "Kristal" gas stations.

At the same time, from 8 a.m. on June 2 to 8 a.m. on June 4, traffic in the section from km 4 to km 5, in the direction of Blagoevgrad, will pass through the Sofia - Malo Buchino and Malo Buchino - Kulata connections at the "Malo Buchino" interchange, as the active, overtaking and emergency lanes will be restricted for repair work.

On June 2, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., at km 78 of the "Struma" motorway in the direction of Sofia, traffic will only take place in the overtaking lane, as work will be done in the active and emergency lanes. On June 3, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., at km 78 in the direction of Blagoevgrad, traffic will only pass in the overtaking lane, while repairs are carried out in the active and emergency lanes. On June 4, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., at km 78 in the direction of Blagoevgrad, traffic will only be in the emergency lane, as the active and overtaking lanes will be restricted.

The Road Infrastructure Agency apologizes for the inconvenience, but emphasizes that the repair activities are necessary to ensure the safety and comfort of travelers. Drivers are called upon to follow the traffic rules, not to undertake risky overtaking, and not to use the emergency lanes for acceleration, as this hinders the passage of vehicles with a special regime in case of incidents.
