Celebration for the newborns: Burgas marks Children's Day with colorful balloons

On June 1, on International Children's Day, Burgas turned into a scene of emotional celebration. Exactly 709 blue and 674 pink balloons were released into the sky, representing the newborn babies in the city over the past 12 months. This colorful demonstration was held from the balustrade in the seaside garden to show the connection between medical professionals, children, and their parents.

Mayor Dimitar Nikolov and the Chairperson of the Burgas Pediatric Association, Dr. Zheni Stoichkova, personally released some of the balloons into the sky. Later on the "Snail" stage, Deputy Mayor Mihail Nenov and Dr. Stoichkova awarded the participants in the children's drawing festival "The Tree is Life", in which children from all kindergartens and schools in Burgas took part.

Diverse initiatives dedicated to Children's Day continued throughout the day in the city. Art workshops, competitions, and many surprises awaited the children of Burgas to make their holiday even more exciting and unforgettable.
