Meden Rudnik Festival 2025: Program and Key Events

The festivities for the traditional festival of the largest Burgas residential complex, "Meden Rudnik," will take place this Saturday, September 13th. Residents and guests are expected to gather for the fifteenth consecutive year to celebrate their favorite local event with many songs, dances, and festive fireworks.

The organization of the large-scale festival is the work of the "Paisiy Hilendarski 1928" community center, which received financial support from the Municipality of Burgas. This partnership has allowed the initiative to become an annual tradition in mid-September, gathering thousands of people.

Morning Ceremony

The festive program will begin on Saturday morning. Exactly at 10:00 AM, a solemn ceremony for laying wreaths and flowers will be held in front of the memorial plaque dedicated to the first settlers of the neighborhood. The monument is located in the yard of "Naiden Gerov" Primary School. The event is expected to be honored by officials and residents who will pay tribute to the history of "Meden Rudnik."

Afternoon and Evening Events

In the afternoon, the festival will move to a central location – the intersection of "Kooperator" and "Petrova niva" streets. The program will include:

• 5:00 PM – Children's program with the participation of:
  • "Zvunika" Children's Folklore Group
  • Students from "Delfin" and "Pinokio" kindergartens
  • "Balerina" Dance School
  • "Yasen Mesets" Bagpipe School
• 5:30 PM – A competition of singing and dancing between amateur groups from Burgas, including:
  • "Orhideya" Women's Folklore Group
  • "Lazur" and "Plamak" Folklore Dance Clubs
• 6:00 PM – Performances by the "Strandzha" Professional Folklore Ensemble
• 7:00 PM – Festive concert with the participation of the "Burgas" orchestra and soloists Kristina Stoykova and Yana Biyukova, as well as special guest performer Zhechka Slaninkova.

Festival Finale

The finale of the festival, between 9:45 PM and 10:00 PM, will be marked by magnificent festive fireworks that will light up the sky above "Meden Rudnik" and bring this year's celebrations to a spectacular end. The organizers invite all residents and guests to join the fun and become part of this long-standing tradition.
