The fire in the Tutrakan area has been brought under control, but the situation remains under observation. About 3000 acres of land have been affected. The cause has not yet been determined.

The fire that broke out in the Tutrakan area has been successfully extinguished after intensive efforts by firefighting teams. This was announced by the local fire service on Thursday morning.

Although the main fire has been brought under control, the situation remains under constant monitoring. Firefighters will continue to closely watch the area for smoldering hotspots that could reignite under certain conditions.

According to preliminary assessments, the fire affected a significant area of about 3000 decares of land. This includes both cultivated areas and patches of natural vegetation. Experts are still evaluating the full extent of the damage and the impact on the local ecosystem.

The cause of the fire has not yet been officially determined. Although local residents express suspicions of deliberate arson, investigating authorities have not yet confirmed this version. A police spokesperson stated: "At this stage, we are considering all possible causes of the fire. We urge citizens who have information to contact us."

The incident raises questions about the region's readiness to deal with such disasters. Local authorities announced that they will review fire prevention measures and work to improve the early warning system.

The mayor of Tutrakan expressed gratitude to all those involved in extinguishing the fire: "I thank the firefighters, volunteers, and all citizens who helped in this difficult situation. Now it's time to focus on recovery and preventing similar incidents in the future."

Environmental organizations are calling for stricter environmental protection measures and emphasize the need to raise public awareness about the dangers of fires, especially during the dry summer months.

The case in Tutrakan is another reminder of the vulnerability of Bulgarian regions to fires and highlights the need for constant vigilance and preparedness to deal with such disasters.
