Operators of Ukraine's 413th "Raid" regiment, part of the Unmanned Systems Forces, struck a base of the Russian BARS-Sarmat centre in occupied Kyrylivka, in Zaporizhzhia region, the regiment said. It was the second confirmed Raid strike on the centre's sites in 2026.

The target was a temporary deployment point. The regiment says the Russians set it up in the buildings of a former holiday resort on the Sea of Azov coast. Ukrainian troops published a video that shows the site after the hit.

BARS-Sarmat, also known as BARS-37, develops and tests drones, ground robotic systems, electronic warfare and electronic intelligence systems, and command and communications equipment in combat. Military and technical specialists work there, including programmers, engineers and technologists. It is led by Rogozin, a former head of Roscosmos who is now an occupation "senator" for the Russian-held part of Zaporizhzhia region.

Raid says the centre is one of the main parts of Russia's Unmanned Systems Forces. The regiment believes the threat it poses at the front is similar to that of Russia's Rubikon centre, although it is less well known in the media. Ukrainian troops say some of the centre's groups are also used to cover transport along the so-called "Novorossiya" route from Rostov-on-Don to occupied Crimea.

The previous strike came in April 2026, deep inside the occupied part of Zaporizhzhia region. The regiment attacked several of the centre's sites then. It says it hit a temporary deployment point and workshops where the Russians built and assembled drones, ground robotic systems and electronic warfare equipment.
