Road repairs and safety measures on key sections in Southern and Western Bulgaria

In Haskovo region, the activities for securing the road junction on first-class road I-5 at the Yazaki factory have been completed. New noise markings are being laid, the asphalt pavement has been repaired, and new road signs have been installed. Similar work is planned on a section of second-class road II-76 in the area of the village of Knyazhevo.

In Montana region, all measures have been implemented to secure a 100-meter section of second-class road II-81 Montana - Sofia at the 80th km, in the Berkovitsa area. The section has new markings, road signs, and replaced guardrails.

On first-class road I-5 in Stara Zagora region, work is underway on a 5-kilometer section between Stara Zagora and Zmeyovo, included in the Action Plan for securing risky sections. So far, 2 km in the Zmeyovo area have been repaired, with a new asphalt surface, markings, road signs, and barrier systems. The repair of the remaining part of the route is expected to be completed by the end of June.

In Sofia region, the markings on four sections of the "Trakia" motorway, identified as sections with a concentration of accidents, have been renewed. The activities have been carried out on the lanes in the direction of Sofia and Burgas.

The Road Infrastructure Agency has published a map of the sections with a concentration of road accidents, as well as an Action Plan for securing these sections, so that citizens can monitor the implementation of the measures.
