Opening of the Academic Year at the Theatre College "Lyuben Groys"

With a lot of emotion and artistic charge, the second academic year of the "Lyuben Groys" Theatre College in Burgas was opened. Even with the first chords of the ceremony, the atmosphere filled with anticipation and excitement. The wind orchestra of NUMSI "Pancho Vladigerov" set the tone for the holiday, filling the space with music and mood. The event, which seemed to pulsate with energy, marked the beginning of an inspiring journey into the world of theatre.

Greetings to the teachers and students were sent by the deputy mayors of Burgas Municipality – Diana Savateva, responsible for "Culture and Religions" and Mihail Nenov, responsible for "Education, Healthcare and Social Activities". They not only expressed their support for the young talents, but also emphasized the key role of Burgas as a new center of culture and education. Here, by the sea, theatre, music and art meet, creating a unique creative environment.

The deputy rector of the college Mihail Mihailov and the lecturer and actor Georg Kiryakov also joined the greetings, instilling confidence and hope in the future actors.

"If you train the talent that you think you have, you will develop it" – with these strong words of Goethe, Dimitar Marinov, the Bulgarian actor, encouraged the students to follow their dreams. Believing in work and perseverance, they are called to conquer their "starry sky". From this academic year, the charismatic actor, nominated for an "Oscar", and the director Lilia Abadzhieva, with rich experience and recognition, will lead the new classes. The excitement was palpable as a surge of creative energy flooded the hall.

The finale of the event was no less inspiring. The second-year students and the new graduates participated in an artistic performance entitled "Delicate Balancing of a Stick", by the Hungarian choreographer and interdisciplinary artist David Somlo. The performance, part of the International Festival of Contemporary Arts "Water", ended the ceremony with bright colors and strong symbolism.

Among the official guests at the opening of the academic year were the director of NUMSI "Pancho Vladigerov" Dimitar Madzharov and the executive director of the "Burgas 2032" Foundation Ruska Boyadzhieva.
