Saint Anastasia Island welcomes the summer season with environmental initiatives and an underwater park.

Traditionally, the summer season on the island of St. Anastasia begins with interesting events organized by the "Friends of the Sea" association. This year, the key highlights are the cleaning of the aquatic area and the official opening of the underwater park near the island.

On June 14 (Saturday), the seabed around the island will be cleaned. Those wishing to participate can reserve spots for the trip to the island at 9:00 and 11:30. The first trip will give passengers the opportunity to observe the divers during the dive and then clean the seabed. The ship will dock at the island, where guests will enjoy music on the beach and try the local mussels.

Another important moment of the event will be the official opening of the "St. Anastasia" underwater park in the Bay of Burgas. In May, volunteers from the association, with the help of the floating crane "Antey", submerged the first exhibits of the park - the GAZ-13 "Chaika" cars and a radio relay station on a ZIL 157 chassis.

At 11:00, a celebratory water blessing will be held at the "Assumption of the Blessed Virgin" church to mark the opening of the summer season.
