The upcoming movement restrictions on the "Hemus" highway will be in the period from June 23 to June 27. Between 6 AM and 5 PM on June 23 to June 26, as well as on June 27 (Friday) from 6 AM to 12 PM, the passage in the lane towards Varna in the section between Yablanitsa and the "Boaza" road junction (from km 78 to km 87) will be stopped. The traffic towards Varna will be diverted to road I-4 Yablanitsa - Brestnitsa. Outside these hours, the movement on the highway will be without restrictions.
In the section of the "Hemus" highway in Sofia region, from June 23 to June 26, between 8 AM and 7 PM, the traffic from km 8 to km 21 towards Varna will be restricted in the overtaking lane to remove vegetation. The movement will be carried out in the active lane.
On June 23, from 8 AM to 7 PM, for the repair of the asphalt surface, the passage in the active lane in the section from km 27 to km 28 of the "Hemus" highway towards Varna will be restricted, and vehicles will be redirected to the overtaking lane.
In the section from km 45 to km 48, towards Varna, during the next week between 8 AM and 7 PM, the movement must be carried out with increased caution and adjusted speed, as roadside vegetation will be removed there. The emergency lane will also be restricted.
The Road Infrastructure Agency calls on drivers to drive carefully, obey the traffic rules and speed limits, and not undertake risky overtaking. Information on the current road situation can be obtained from the RIA website or the 24-hour hotline.
