On the eve of the Day of Bulgarian Education and Culture, which will be celebrated on May 24, the municipal carrier "Burgasbus" will provide additional buses on lines B1 and B2. An average of 16 additional trips will be made from 9 to 14 hours on the two lines, so the buses will travel every 8 minutes. The goal is to encourage the use of public transport instead of private cars to get to the center of the city, where over 16,500 students and cultural figures are expected to participate in the procession.
The carrier reports that if more people gather at the stops, additional buses will be put into operation on other lines as well. Buses running on lines 3, 6, 7, 8 and 15 will run on a weekday schedule, while bus #9 will run on a Saturday schedule.
