In connection with the enhanced control from June 16, 2025, the Municipality of Pomorie informs all natural and legal persons offering accommodation facilities of class "B" about the necessary legal requirements. The first step is the registration of the tourist facility by submitting a declaration-application to the mayor of the municipality. After approval, an order and a registration certificate are issued, which are entered in the National Tourist Register.

The next obligation is registration in the Unified Tourist Information System (ESTI), where all overnight stays must be reported at the time of the tourist's accommodation. The tourist tax, determined by the Municipal Council, is collected by the hotelier and paid to the municipality by the 15th of the following month.

Natural persons and sole traders offering up to 20 rooms are subject to patent tax. The tax declaration is submitted by January 31, and the tax is paid in four equal installments throughout the year.

The Municipality of Pomorie will monitor compliance with the legal requirements, but for other issues such as registration with the NRA, income declaration, and social security contributions, the owners should consult with the competent authorities or their accountant.
