The Municipality of Burgas is expanding the internship program for students of pedagogy during the summer.

For the fourth year, the Municipality of Burgas is launching the "Together for Education" program, which provides an opportunity for summer internships in kindergartens for pedagogy students from local universities. In addition to the practical experience for young people, the program ensures the continuous operation of Burgas kindergartens during the summer, providing peace of mind for parents who are at work.

Mayor Dimitar Nikolov emphasizes that the program is an important step towards achieving higher quality education in Burgas, as it gives pedagogy students the opportunity to start working in a real environment and to accumulate professional experience, and their work will be recognized as an internship. In the first year - 2022, 64 students participated in the program, in 2023 - 76, and in 2024 - 69.

The internship will be from July 1 to August 31, 2025, for a period of not less than one month. The remuneration of the trainee students will be 90% of the basic monthly salary for the position of "teacher". The student interns will work under the guidance of mentors.

Students who have completed the 3rd and 4th years of the specialties "Preschool and Primary School Pedagogy", "Primary School Pedagogy and Foreign Language" and "Preschool Pedagogy and Foreign Language" can participate in the program for the period from July to August, for the purpose of practical training. Such personnel are trained at the "Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov" University and the Burgas Free University, which are partners of the Municipality of Burgas in the program. The registration system will be activated on June 24.
