The Burgas Municipality is removing an illegal kiosk in the Sea Garden and installing a new one that meets modern requirements.

The Burgas Municipality has initiated the removal of an illegal structure, known as the "Mushroom", located in the Sea Garden - a cultural monument, public state property, provided for management by the municipality in 2010. The deadline for setting up the pavilion expired on February 28, 2023, but no action has been taken to settle the obligations, which has led to administrative intervention. Additionally, the facility has been repeatedly expanded over the years, by installing additional elements on its body in a way that drastically does not correspond to its original vision and does not fit the overall appearance of the Sea Garden - one of the most visited and emblematic public spaces in the city. A new pavilion will be placed in the place of the old one by the Burgas Municipality. It will visually have a shape and dimensions identical to those of the existing "Mushroom" over the years. The new facility will be accessible to all citizens and visitors of the city, without compromising the natural and cultural value of the Historical Core of the Sea Garden. The facility will be managed by the Municipal Enterprise "Tourism" until a public tender for its lease is announced, in which all those who meet the regulatory requirements will be able to participate. The Burgas Municipality remains consistent in its efforts to protect public spaces from illegal construction and unattended use and to ensure that iconic zones such as the Sea Garden develop in the interest of all its residents and visitors.
