The Municipality of Burgas wants three state-owned plots of land for key city projects.

The Municipality of Burgas will make a request to the state for three plots of land necessary for the implementation of key projects in the city. The first is part of the bike path to the "Sarafovo" district, where there is an active landslide, but the municipality cannot stabilize it because the land is not municipal property. The second plot is located near the Naval Academy and the rowing canal, near large residential neighborhoods, but there is a lack of sports infrastructure and recreation areas. The third plot is in "Meden rudnik", near the Burgas Lake, where the municipality plans to build a stadium and sports complex. Mayor Dimitar Nikolov emphasized that Burgas currently has no municipal stadium, after losing ownership of "Lazur" and "Chernomorets" more than 20 years ago. The municipal councilors supported the requests, as obtaining these plots will allow the municipality to apply for funding and implement important projects for the development of the city.
