NHA Burgas: Open Doors Days for Art

The branch of the National Academy of Arts in Burgas opens its doors to everyone interested within the framework of the traditional initiative &q_Days of Open Doors&q_. The event, announced for the period from November 4 to 7, promises to give visitors the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of art by visiting the three training bases of the higher education institution in the seaside city. The doors will be open at Magazia 1 in the Port Complex – Burgas, at the International Congress Center, and at the Center for Contemporary Art and Library.

From 10:00 to 13:00 each day, visitors will be able to tour the studios of all specialties studied in the branch. This includes &q_Painting&q_, &q_Graphics&q_, &q_Book, Illustration, Printed Graphics&q_, &q_Poster and Visual Communication&q_, and &q_Fashion Design&q_. In addition, master's programs &q_Photography&q_, &q_Art Therapy&q_ and &q_The Cultural Heritage of the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast&q_ will also be presented.

In Magazia 1, during the four days of the event, creative demonstrations and exercises related to the specialties &q_Graphics&q_, &q_Book, Illustration, Printed Graphics&q_, &q_Poster and Visual Communication&q_ and &q_Fashion Design&q_ will be organized. Guests will have the unique opportunity to observe the process of creating illustrations, printed graphics, and posters, as well as the work on fashion projects.

The International Congress Center – Burgas will host the studios for &q_Painting&q_ and the master's program &q_Photography&q_. There, students will present their painting studies and portraits. Teachers will be available to familiarize prospective candidates with the admission requirements and the characteristics of the different programs.

In the Center for Contemporary Art and Library, located at 41 St. St. Cyril and Methodius St., visitors will be able to get acquainted with the &q_Graphics&q_ studio. Various graphic techniques and printing processes will be demonstrated there.

The event &q_Days of Open Doors&q_ aims to offer prospective candidates the opportunity to get acquainted with the educational and creative environment, receive consultations regarding the entrance exams, and meet with students and teachers from the branch. The atmosphere encourages questions and curiosity, creating a favorable environment for future artists.

BTA recalls that the branch of the National Academy of Arts in Burgas was established in 2018 and offers bachelor's and master's programs in the field of visual arts, graphic and fashion design. The academy itself, founded by a decree of Prince Ferdinand I in 1896, today offers a wide range of educational opportunities, including 18 bachelor's specialties and over 50 master's programs in the field of fine and applied arts, art history, design, and restoration.
