Neftochimik beat Sportist (Svoge) on penalties to reach the next round of the Bulgarian Cup. The hosts will face CSKA 1948 next.

The match ended 1-1 after normal time. Anton Uzunov fired an early shot at the visitors' goal, but their keeper saved it. In the 42nd minute, Jorson scored from distance to put the "chocolates" ahead.

Sportist equalised midway through the second half. After a defensive mistake, the ball fell to Miroslav Radev, who set up Grigor Solakov to score.

Near the end of normal time, the "greens" came close to a second goal. Hidayet Hyusein crossed the ball, central defender Todor Petrov headed it, and it flew just centimetres over the bar. Late in extra time, Neftochimik broke away on the counter-attack — Solakov shot, but Sportist's keeper saved it.

The penalty shootout went the distance. Neftochimik keeper Velichkov saved 3 of the visitors' spot-kicks, and Sportist's keeper also saved 3 from the "greens". Pavel Tachev scored the decisive penalty.
