Neftohimik secured a 2:0 victory over Zagorets (Nova Zagora) in a match from the VII round of the Southeast Third League. The game was held at the "Lazur" stadium.

The Burgas-based team was without Kosta Dalev, who was suspended following a red card in their previous match against the same opponent. An additional problem arose for the "Sheikhs" just before kickoff – during the warm-up, his brother Gencho suffered a strain, forcing Pavel Tachev to take his place in the starting lineup.

The first half was characterized by balanced play, with the hosts maintaining more possession while the visitors from Nova Zagora defended in a low block. Midway through the half, Neftohimik players won the ball inside the Zagorets penalty area, which reached Anton Uzunov, who scored into an empty net to make it 1:0.

Shortly before halftime, in the 42nd minute, the Burgas side extended their lead. Following a cross from the flank, a Zagorets player deflected the ball into his own net, making the score 2:0.

In the second half, the players, led by Miroslav Mindev, sought a comeback but failed to create any clear-cut chances against goalkeeper Velichkov.

Following this win, Neftohimik moved up the standings to 11th place with 7 points, while Zagorets sits immediately ahead of them with 10 points.

The next task for Todor Kiselichkov's squad is a postponed match from the V round of the championship. It is scheduled for Wednesday, September 23, at 17:00, once again at the "Lazur" stadium.
