Experts from the National Economic Council (NEC) held a large-scale working meeting that outlined future priorities in the country's industrial and environmental transformation. The leading forum, organized by the Ministry of Economy and Industry, focused on long-term strategic guidelines for the development of the Bulgarian economy.
Minister Petar Dilov presented a vision for a climate-neutral industrial policy, emphasizing the need for innovative approaches and sustainable solutions. A key point was the introduction of new tender mechanisms related to low-emission electricity production.
Among the main discussion points was the development of a fundamentally new model for calculating household waste fees. Representatives of the National Association of Municipalities presented a detailed Action Plan aimed at achieving maximum transparency and fairness in fee determination.
The new approach will take into account the actual generated waste quantities, number of users, and used containers. Experts from various departments - the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Environment and Water - provided additional analytical information regarding legislative and financial aspects.
"Our common goal is to build a competitive and sustainable industrial ecosystem," Minister Dilov was categorical. The meeting brought together representatives from state institutions and employers' organizations who discussed strategic challenges facing the Bulgarian economy.
Among the highlights was the confirmation that Bulgaria continues to be a significant factor in the development of climate technologies and innovative industrial solutions.
