Hristo G. Danov Award: Peyo Yavorov Library Nominated

The Peyo Yavorov Regional Library in Burgas has been nominated for the prestigious 2025 National "Hristo G. Danov" Award in the "Library Work" category.

This is a significant recognition for Burgas and its cultural life, officially announced by the Ministry of Culture.

The award, one of the most prestigious in Bulgaria, is given to individuals and institutions that have made a significant contribution to the development and preservation of Bulgarian literature, word, and scholarship.

The process of selecting the winners will be carried out in two stages by a jury appointed by the Minister of Culture.

The awards ceremony is expected to be held solemnly on September 22 in Plovdiv. The winners will receive a diploma, a sculpture made by sculptress Diana Raynova, and a monetary prize. All nominees will be awarded a diploma.

The director of the "Peyo Yavorov" Library, Yana Karshishka, expressed her gratitude: "This nomination is the result of the long-term work of our team, the support of Burgas Municipality and Mayor Dimitar Nikolov, and most importantly – our readers.
