The transport infrastructure along the Blagoevgrad - Simritli route has received a significant improvement through the comprehensive modernization of a strategically important road section. The "Zheleznitsa" tunnel, which previously posed a serious challenge for drivers, now has a fully renovated infrastructure.
The implemented project includes large-scale interventions: laying a new asphalt layer, installing modern LED lighting, precise road markings, and a complete refresh of the tunnel's interior walls. These measures directly improve safety and comfort when passing through.
The previous unfavorable conditions - lack of adequate lighting and neglected state - were a serious risk for traffic participants. Currently, drivers can calmly pass from the roundabout at "Gazprom" to Simritli without additional restrictions.
