Arson attack destroys 11 Starlink antennas at secret site near Sofia, MP says
Wait — the instructions require preserving the strength of claims and the HTML structure. Here is the final text:Eleven Starlink antennas were deliberately set on fire at a secret site near Sofia, Ivaylo Mirchev, co-chair of Yes, Bulgaria, said. He said two masked men did it.
The site has 17 SpaceX antennas in all. They carry the main link to Musk's satellites in space. Starlink is SpaceX's communications system, and its satellites are widely used in the war in Ukraine.
Mirchev, who is an MP, described the case on social media. Together with Bozhidar Bozhanov of Democratic Bulgaria, he filed parliamentary questions to the State Agency for National Security (DANS) and the Interior Ministry. The two ask whether the services knew about the planned sabotage and what steps they took.
Mirchev also asked: "Was there a warning from partner services about planned sabotage at this very location?"
He said that at a meeting of the Consultative Council for National Security a few days ago, the DANS chief assured him that counter-intelligence was working very actively against Russian-linked sabotage. The MP thinks counter-intelligence is clearly not doing a good job.
"Aren't the police cars that have been at the site in the last few hours too late?" the MP asked.
Tomorrow Mirchev and Bozhanov will give more information in parliament.
