The Ministry of Innovation and Growth is opening new opportunities to support businesses.

The Ministry of Innovation and Growth (MIG) works to stimulate investments in Bulgarian business. In the coming months, numerous opportunities for support with European funding for companies will be opened, announced the Director of the Directorate General "European Funds for Competitiveness" (DG EFC) at MIG, Ilian Ilieva, at an information meeting organized by the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

By the end of the year, over 20 procedures for more than 1 billion BGN are upcoming under the two programs managed by the Ministry - for competitiveness and innovation and for research and digitalization. Ilieva pointed out that two measures for digitalization will be launched - one for more basic levels, and the other for the introduction of artificial intelligence, digital twins, and other technologies in the field of Industry 4.0. Investments in energy efficiency will also continue, as the energy security of enterprises is crucial for their competitiveness.

According to the Director of DG EFC, additional efforts are needed to build partnerships between businesses and scientific organizations and infrastructures in the country. This synergy guarantees the development and implementation of more innovations in production.

The Deputy Director of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Vasil Todorov, also emphasized the importance of innovation for the development of companies. He pointed out that more companies need to be motivated to work with scientific units, seek funding for their ideas, and develop new products and services.
