The Ministry of Innovation and Growth (MIG) is pursuing a targeted policy to encourage Bulgarian companies to take advantage of the opportunities offered by the European Space Agency (ESA). This became clear from the words of the Deputy Minister of Innovation and Growth, Professor Georgi Angelov, who opened an information day at Sofia Tech Park for the Eleventh Tender Procedure of ESA for Bulgaria.
Professor Angelov stressed the importance of international partnerships and the activity of Bulgarian companies, as our country is currently a cooperating state and is striving for full membership in ESA. He noted that over the years, Bulgaria's participation in ESA projects has increased, measured not only by the number but also by the quality of the projects.
During the information day, Bulgarian companies and organizations received guidance for participation in the Eleventh Tender Procedure of ESA, as well as up-to-date information on Bulgaria's cooperation with the Agency in the implementation of the Plan for a European Cooperating State (PECS). Participants also held individual meetings with the ESA industrial coordinator for Bulgaria, and at the end of the event, successfully implemented projects were presented.
The Eleventh Tender Procedure of ESA for Bulgaria will be open for applications on October 6 and will close on November 14.
