The National Palace of Children in Sofia will host an impressive award ceremony today for the winners of three international competitions organized by the Executive Agency for Bulgarians Abroad (EABA).
The participation statistics for 2025 are extremely impressive – a total of 562 works and performances were presented by young talents from around the world. The drawing competition "Bulgaria in My Dreams" attracted 244 artistic works, the literary contest "Stefan Gechev" received 188 works, and the musical competition "Lyubka Rondova" included 130 different performances.
The geography of participants covers an impressive international spectrum – children and youth from Bulgarian communities in the USA, Germany, France, Greece, Turkey, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Ukraine, Scotland, Moldova, and other countries participated in the competition.
EABA Executive Director Rayna Mandzhukova will be responsible for presenting the awards. The winners will receive official certificates, special prizes, and the unique opportunity to participate in a creative camp in the village of Brodilovo.
The ceremonial event will include a rich program with musical performances, an exhibition of award-winning artistic works, and the presence of official guests. Among them will be Tatyana Doseva, director of the National Palace of Children, which is a long-standing partner of the Agency.
The history of the competitions is rich and inspiring. The literary contest "Stefan Gechev" was founded in 1995 by the then State Agency for Bulgarians Abroad together with the magazine "Rodna Rech". The drawing competition started in 2001 with a key goal – preserving national memory among the young generation outside Bulgaria.
