A man born in 1959 was killed in a Russian attack on Ivano-Frankivsk overnight into Friday, 9 October, Svitlana Onyshchuk, head of the regional military administration, said on Telegram.

"I offer my sincere condolences to his family and friends. This is an irreparable loss," she wrote.

Debris from a downed drone fell and started a fire. Ukraine's State Emergency Service said a building, dry grass and bushes in an open area caught fire. Rescuers quickly put out the fires.
