Experts from "Disinfection Station Burgas" Ltd. are developing a large-scale plan to counteract the mosquito invasion in the municipality. Specialized teams will carry out targeted disinsection activities using modern technological methods, including an agricultural drone for treating hard-to-reach coastal zones.
Larvicidal treatments are focused on the water spaces of Atanasovsko Lake and Vaya Lake, to be implemented in strictly defined time intervals - from 5:30 to 10:00 AM. The schedule provides for treatment of biotope zones in the neighborhoods of "Sarafovo", "Gorno Ezherovo" and "Dolno Ezherovo" during the first half of July.
Two specialized biocidal products - Vectobac 12 AC and Rotrin 100, which have the necessary permits and are environmentally safe, will be used to carry out the disinsection activities. The products are certified as non-toxic to mammals, birds, and fish, which guarantees the ecological soundness of the intervention.
Imagocidal treatments will be carried out using cold and hot aerosol in the early morning hours - from 00:30 to 04:30. The schedule covers various urban areas, parks, residential complexes, and suburban territories in sequence, including over 20 different locations in the Burgas municipality.
Among the treated zones are parks such as "Slaveikov", "Sveti Troitsa", "Izgrev", "Primorski", "Mineralni Bani", as well as residential complexes "Lazur", "Vazrazhdane", "Bratya Miladinovi" and others. The operation will also cover suburban settlements like Bratovo, Ravnets, Marinka, Izvor, and Draganovo.
The Disinfection Station reserves the right to change the preliminary schedule under unfavorable meteorological conditions such as heavy rain or strong wind. The goal of the large-scale campaign is to effectively reduce the mosquito population and improve the quality of life in the region.
