The Bulgarian government leadership demonstrates concrete results in road construction, achieving in a short period a volume of work that usually takes years. The Minister of Regional Development and Public Works, Ivan Ivanov, presented media details about the implementation of an important infrastructure project on the Mezdra - Botevgrad route.

During an official inspection of the site, key experts and government administration representatives were present, including the Director of National Construction Control Engineer Lilyana Petrova, representatives of the Road Infrastructure Agency, members of parliament, and local governors.

One of the most significant results is the issuance of Act 16 for Lot 2 Mezdra - Lyuti Dol, which means the official completion of a specific section of the project. Traffic on the route has been restored, allowing vehicles to pass smoothly in the direction of Vratsa.

Minister Ivanov emphasized the project's importance for improving transport connectivity in Northwest Bulgaria. He expressed gratitude to the Road Infrastructure Agency teams and construction workers for the achieved results.

Among the challenges for the complete route completion are geological surveys and stabilization of landslides in various sections. The leadership guarantees that passenger safety is a priority, with detailed geological analyses being conducted before undertaking construction activities.

The minister also appealed to drivers to be extremely careful, observe road restrictions, and not pollute the space around the roads. He emphasized that maintenance costs are borne by the entire society.

Timelines for the project's complete completion depend on successfully resolving geological challenges, financial securing, and overcoming technical difficulties on the route between Mezdra, Botevgrad, Montana, and Vidin.

The government demonstrates consistency in infrastructure project implementation, working to improve the road network in one of the country's least developed regions.
