Lukoil Bulgaria: Gas Stations Operating Normally, Refuting Rumors

In response to false information circulating in some media regarding a potential upcoming cessation of operations of "Lukoil" petrol stations on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria, an official statement from the company categorically denied such claims. "Lukoil Bulgaria" assured the public that all commercial network facilities are functioning and will continue to operate normally.

According to the statement, the company emphasizes that there are no grounds whatsoever for the cessation of operations of the commercial facilities. The petrol stations are fully supplied with fuel. The official position states that the disseminated claims about the shutdown are untrue, speculative, and misleading.

This comes after earlier today, President Rumen Radev vetoed and returned for a new discussion in the National Assembly provisions from the amendments to the Law on Administrative Regulation of Economic Activities Related to Oil and Petroleum Products. These provisions concern the introduction of the figure of a special commercial manager for the assets of "Lukoil" in Bulgaria.

In the afternoon, the Energy Commission in the parliament convened an extraordinary meeting to discuss the president's decree. After the discussion, with 12 votes "for" and three "against", the Energy Commission re-adopted the amendments to the Law on Administrative Regulation of Economic Activities Related to Oil and Petroleum Products, adopted by the 51st National Assembly on November 7th.
