When and how will pensions and other payments from the National Social Security Institute (NSSI) be paid in March

Pension payments in March through “Bulgarian Posts” will begin on the 9th (Monday) and will end on March 20th (Friday), announced the National Social Security Institute (NSI). According to the Regulation on Pensions and Insurance Service, post offices pay pensions and supplements to them in the period from the 7th to the 20th of the month to which they relate, the insurance institute reminded. When these dates are non-working days, as is the case with one of them this month, the payment is made on the first working day after that.

Pension payments will be in accordance with a schedule that will be announced in each post office.

Transfers of the amounts for March pensions to the accounts of pensioners who receive their money by bank transfer will be on March 9, 2026, the NSI added.

On March 5, all eligible individuals will be paid cash benefits for pregnancy and childbirth, for childcare up to two years of age and for the adoption of a child up to five years of age for the previous month of February.

The date for the payment of unemployment benefits this month is March 16, Monday.

Last week, the caretaker social minister Hasan Adimov said that with the adopted extension law for the budget, all social payments are guaranteed, including the updating of pensions from July 1st of this year.
