An intensive police operation, which covered a large part of the Southern Black Sea coast, ended successfully after the missing Romanian citizen, Stelian Micu, was found safe and sound. After a large-scale search that began on September 1st, the 42-year-old man with special needs was found by a patrol on the road between Primorsko and Burgas.
Stelian Micu, whose disappearance was reported on September 1st at around 3:30 p.m. in the resort of Sunny Beach, became the central figure of a search operation that involved officers from the Nessebar Regional Department and the "Search" sector of the "Criminal Police" Department at the Burgas Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior. The search was not limited to police work alone but received widespread publicity through the media, which disseminated information about the case, hoping for public assistance.
After several days of intensive search efforts, including operational and procedural measures, Micu was found by officers from the Primorsko Regional Department in the turnoff for the _Perla_ area. The scene where he was found was described by the uniformed officers as unusual and calm, completely contrasting with the tension that accompanied the search. The man stood calmly, leaning against the guardrail, without trying to stop passing cars. In his hand, he held a blue balloon, and his clothing—a black T-shirt and black shorts—was the same as on the day of his disappearance.
