Choosing Bulgaria: 420 Applications in 24 Hours, Interest Grows

Within the first 24 hours of the "I Choose Bulgaria" project launch, an impressive 420 applications were received, reflecting significant interest in the initiative. Over 200 applications per day, noted Social Minister Borislav Gutsanov, during the meeting of the Labor and Social Policy Committee in the National Assembly. The atmosphere in the hall, where the rapid-fire control was taking place, was charged with anticipation and the significance of the topic. "We believe this is a step in the right direction," the minister emphasized, reflecting the main goal of the project.

The focus on the return of Bulgarian citizens from abroad was clearly present in the discussions. According to the minister, although the topic has been discussed for years, concrete actions are now being observed, supported by financial resources in the amount of 26 million leva. "If necessary – we will increase the resource," Gutsanov pointed out, showing commitment to the success of the program. He stressed that the project is aimed not only at supporting the economy, but also at addressing the demographic crisis, which has long been a subject of public attention.

A significant moment in the minister's presentation was the mention of meetings with Bulgarian citizens in New York, who have shown interest in the project. This information demonstrates the international scope of the initiative and its potential to attract compatriots from different parts of the world. "And we did not expect that the desire of people to apply for this program would be so great," Gutsanov stated, expressing satisfaction with the initial response.
