Innovative Postal Stamps: National Competition for 2026

The official procedure for collecting stamp design ideas for 2026 has entered an active phase. The agency announced the start of the initiative, which will continue until August 31, 2025.

Candidates must focus their proposals on anniversaries divisible by 25 that represent key moments in national and world history. Priority will be given to concepts related to affirming Bulgarian and international cultural and scientific achievements.

The specialized expert council on stamp publishing will conduct a thorough review of the submitted applications. The annual program provides for about 30 main philatelic editions, whose implementation will be entrusted to proven graphic designers.

Anonymous competitions will be organized for some of the projects, which guarantee transparency and objectivity in selection. The ministry already has successful experience in this direction - in 2025, artists were selected for three postal editions, with one of the stamps inspired by children's creativity.
