Christian values in the works of young talents

A solemn ceremony was held in Burgas to present the awards from the XXIII National Competition "God is Love", organized by the Ministry of Education and Science. Students from across the country participated, showcasing their skills in the fields of prose, poetry, drawing, and applied arts. The awardees were congratulated by representatives of the local authorities, the education system, and the Holy Metropolis of Sliven.

On May 18, 2025, a solemn ceremony was held in Burgas, where the winners of the XXIII National Competition "God is Love" were awarded. The event is organized annually by the Ministry of Education and Science and involves students from grades 1 to 12 from across the country. In his greeting, His Eminence the Metropolitan of Sliven, Arseny, emphasized that children are our future and we, the adults, must guide them towards the right path, which is Christ and His love.

Deputy Mayor Diana Savateva congratulated the organizers for their dedication and presented the prestigious awards to the winners in the "Applied Arts" section. Professor Dr. Pavel Pavlov, the Chairman of the National Commission, introduced the jury and highlighted the role of the mentors who encourage the children in their interaction with religion. Ms. Vanya Naidenova from the Ministry of Education and Science presented the awards in the "Poetry" category.

The hosts of the final national round were the Sliven Holy Metropolis and the Regional Education Directorate - Burgas, with the assistance of the Municipality of Burgas and the "St. St. Cyril and Methodius" Secondary School - Burgas. The audience enjoyed inspiring performances by the "Trepetlika" choir, conducted by Pepa Zapryanov.

The awarded participants distinguished themselves in four main categories - prose, poetry, drawing, and applied arts, in six age groups. Among the laureates were students from various cities and schools in the country, such as Plovdiv, Sliven, Sofia, Targovishte, Hadzhidimovo, Vidin, Stara Zagora, Kyustendil, Plovdiv, Septemvri, Nova Zagora, Razgrad, Ruse, Sofia, Pernik, Blagoevgrad, Ruse, Veliko Tarnovo, Sofia, Blagoevgrad, and Burgas.

Special awards were presented to students in the poetry, drawing, and applied arts categories, including Anna Gineva, Yulia Todorova, Gabriela Metodieva, Viktoria Ivanova, and Simona Angelova.

The event was an inspiring experience that showcased the high achievements of young talents and their ability to express Christian values through various forms of art.
