Gutsanov on Pensions, Minimum Wage and Euro: No Threat to the Vulnerable

In the turbulence we are in, there is no threat to the most vulnerable segments of the population, said Borislav Gutsanov on BNT.

Minimum wage and pensions: Gutsanov pointed out that despite the lack of a regular budget, measures have been taken to protect the vulnerable. The minimum wage has been increased from 1077 BGN to 1213 BGN, and from tomorrow it will be 620 euros (nearly a 14% increase). The poverty line has been raised by about 20% to 390 euros. From July 1, all pensioners in Bulgaria will receive pensions adapted to the Swiss rule.

The Euro and price increases: Gutsanov assured that there is no tension regarding the receipt of pensions and benefits due to the euro. He admitted that the price increase is a fact, but not only because of the introduction of the euro. According to him, the increase in the prices of the final product comes from the resellers and merchants.

BSP Congress: Gutsanov stated that he is one of the initiators for holding a BSP congress and does not think it should be postponed. He has received many nominations for party chairman and emphasized the importance of the development of the social ministry.

Partnership with Rumen Radev: Gutsanov stated that he does not consider Rumen Radev a threat to the BSP and emphasized the need to seek partnership with his party.
