Gaming Innovations: Burgas Hosts Black Sea Game Summit

The International Congress Center in Burgas transformed into a hub of digital creativity with the official opening of the Black Sea Game Summit – a forum that consolidates talents from the entire gaming ecosystem. The initiative, conceived three years ago, finally became a reality thanks to the efforts of CreaTech Bulgaria and Knowledge Foundation.

Mayor Dimitar Nikolov emphasized the significance of the event, defining Burgas as a city open to technological innovations. "I am glad that this significant forum, which unites professionals and enthusiasts from the gaming industry, is taking place right here," he stated to those present.

The forum offers an extremely diverse program with international participation. Over 20 speakers from different countries will present expert reports covering a wide spectrum of topics – from business models to technological innovations in the gaming sector.

A special highlight of the event is the exhibition zone, which includes demonstration stands of leading companies and studios. Independent developers will have the unique opportunity to present their original projects in a specially designated indie corner, where visitors can test the latest games.

The musical program will be presented by the duo Verya, composed of Maria Anastasova and Ivayla Todorova. Anastasova, known for her performances in Baldur's Gate 3 and a BAFTA award winner, will present musical interpretations from fantasy games.

The second day of the event will include a VR Hackathon and an impressive cosplay competition, organized by Honest Cosplay. Fans will have the opportunity to meet the popular game influencer Vasil Kalinchev (xXShadowHexXx) during a special meet & greet session.

The organizers have provided free entry, with the only condition being prior registration through the official platform. The event demonstrates the growing importance of the gaming industry and its potential for creative development in Bulgaria.

The Black Sea Game Summit is emerging as a landmark event that not only presents technological achievements but also creates a platform for communication between different professional communities in the digital creative sector.
