Today, informational meetings are being held in six Bulgarian cities – Vratsa, Slivnica, Sozopol, Vetovo, Hisarya, and Sevlievo – as part of the national information campaign for the introduction of the euro.
These events are a key element in Bulgaria"s preparation for the transition to the eurozone, aiming to inform citizens about the upcoming changes.
Vratsa will host a meeting from 9:30 to 12:00, while in Slivnica, Sozopol, Vetovo, Hisarya, and Sevlievo the information sessions are scheduled for 11:00.
The meetings will be held in the buildings of the respective municipal administrations, with the exception of Sozopol, where the local community center has been chosen.
This geographical distribution of the meetings demonstrates the government"s commitment to reaching all regions of the country and ensuring equal opportunities for citizens to participate in this important process.
The aim of the campaign is clear – to provide citizens with full and accurate information about the various stages and deadlines of the transition to the euro.
The organization of the large-scale information campaign is a joint project of a number of key institutions. The Ministry of Finance, the Bulgarian National Bank, the Ministry of Economy and Industry, the Commission for Consumer Protection, the National Revenue Agency, the Financial Supervision Commission, and the National Social Security Institute are among the main participants, guaranteeing the competence and comprehensiveness of the information.
Special attention is paid to the explanations of the experts from the Commission for Consumer Protection. They will focus on the correct redenomination, the requirements for traders according to the Law for the Introduction of the Euro in the Republic of Bulgaria (ZVERB), as well as the specific rights of consumers and procedures for reporting violations.
The opportunity to ask questions will give citizens a chance to clarify their uncertainties and receive direct answers from competent persons.
The Bulgarian Telegraph Agency (BTA) recalls that the national information campaign started in Burgas on September 2, and yesterday similar information meetings were held in Provadia, Chepelare, Lyaskovets, and Satovtcha.
