Energy Security in the Region: Zhelyazkov and Zelensky Talked

Energy security in the region and the ways to strengthen cooperation in this key area were the focus of a phone conversation between Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov and the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky. A message about the communication was published on the official page of the Council of Ministers on Facebook.

The conversation, held against the backdrop of tensions and challenges on a global scale, also touched upon other topics of vital importance. Among them, the issue of security stands out, with a specific focus on the situation in the Black Sea. In addition, the two leaders discussed the opportunities provided by the European SAFE instrument, the government press service also pointed out.

Information about the conversation was also provided by President Volodymyr Zelensky himself on his Facebook page. He emphasized the importance of the discussed topics and noted the agreements reached. "I had a conversation with the Prime Minister of Bulgaria Rosen Zhelyazkov. We discussed strengthening energy cooperation and agreed on steps that will help with energy security in our region. There are concrete solutions and we will implement them", Zelensky wrote in his post. With his position, he signaled a readiness for active actions and practical implementation of the agreements.
