Today and tomorrow will be mostly sunny, with highs of up to 28C today and up to 30C tomorrow. On Sunday the weather gets worse: it will turn much cooler and windy, with rain in many places.

This report follows our earlier story on the sunny Monday, with highs of up to 26C and a sea temperature of 19-20C.

After another cool morning, today will be warmer than yesterday. Temperatures will reach 23C to 28C, about 24C in Sofia and 21C to 24C on the Black Sea coast. The wind will be light from the east-southeast, and moderate on the coast.

Tonight the sky will be clear, with a light wind from the south. Lows will range from about 0C in the high fields of the west and in the basins, where frost is possible, to 13-14C on the Black Sea coast. Sofia will see about 6C.

Thursday will be sunny, with highs of 25C to 30C, about 26C in Sofia and 21C to 23C on the Black Sea coast. The wind will be light from the southwest, and moderate on the coast. The sea will be at force 2-3, with waves up to about half a metre. The water is 19C off the northern coast and 20C off the southern coast.

The weather in the mountains is good for hiking, with mostly sunny skies and a moderate wind from the west-southwest.

Friday will be sunny across most of Bulgaria, with showers and thunder in places in the west. On Saturday the western half will see more cloud and light rain, while the east stays sunny.

On Sunday the rain in some areas will be heavy, with thunderstorms. On Monday there will still be showers in the east, and mostly sunny skies in the rest of Bulgaria.
