Rain, stronger wind and cooler weather will also reach eastern Bulgaria from Monday, the forecast for the coming week shows.

On Friday the Black Sea coast will be mostly sunny, with highs of 22C to 26C. A light wind will blow from the south-southwest. The sea will be 19C to 20C, with waves of 2 to 3 on the sea scale.

Across Bulgaria, overnight lows will be 8C to 13C, and about 8C in Sofia. They will be a little lower in places in the west and centre. The day will be mostly sunny, with highs of 25C to 30C, and about 26C in Sofia. Cloud will build from the west, and light rain will fall in a few places in western Bulgaria towards evening.

On Friday a light to moderate wind will blow from the west-northwest. In the southeast and along the northern Black Sea coast, it will stay south-southwesterly.

In the mountains it will be mostly sunny, but cloud will build during the day. Towards evening, light rain will fall in a few places in the mountains of western and central Bulgaria. A moderate west-northwest wind will blow there too. At 1,200 metres the temperature will be about 20C, and at 2,000 metres about 13C.

On Saturday and Sunday eastern Bulgaria will see broken cloud to sunny skies, and it will stay warm. In the western half of the country, cloud will often be thick and it will rain in places, mostly lightly. On Saturday the wind will ease briefly, then turn to the east-southeast. On Sunday it will pick up in the eastern half. Daytime temperatures will fall, more in the west and less in the east.

Overnight into Monday the wind will turn northwesterly and strengthen, and relatively cooler air will move in. Cloud will often be thick, and the rain will move from west to east. On Monday daytime temperatures will fall in eastern Bulgaria too.

On Tuesday the rain will stop for a while, then return, with a higher chance of heavy rain in some places. Towards evening the wind will blow from the northeast everywhere. In the east and in central northern Bulgaria it will be moderate to strong and bring more cool air.
