The Minister of Economy and Industry Petar Diliov held a meeting with the management of the newly established Bulgarian-Czech Chamber of Commerce, where the opportunities for intensifying the bilateral economic relations between Bulgaria and the Czech Republic were discussed. Minister Diliov expressed confidence that the joint efforts of Bulgarian and Czech companies will contribute to the development of the competitiveness of the economies, especially in sectors such as industrial innovations, energy, high-tech production and sustainable development.
The meeting made it clear that the Bulgarian-Czech Chamber of Commerce will play the role not only of an active intermediary between the two countries, but also of a platform for institutional dialogue between government agencies. The Chairman of the Chamber, Maxim Behar, emphasized that the priority for the organization will be the active presentation of the investment advantages of our country, and stressed the great potential for increasing Czech investments in Bulgaria, especially in the field of industry.

According to preliminary data from the Bulgarian National Bank, the total investments from the Czech Republic in Bulgaria amount to 486.2 million euros. The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Minister of Economy and Industry Doncho Barbalov, Jan Indřich - Deputy Ambassador of the Czech Republic, as well as representatives of the Bulgarian-Czech Chamber of Commerce. Minister Diliov emphasized the importance of the meeting as the beginning of concrete actions to expand economic cooperation and promote investments.
