On May 17, 2025, the Regional Historical Museum in Burgas marked a record number of visitors during the annual Night of the Museums. Nearly 8,000 citizens and guests of the city flocked to enjoy a rich cultural program, despite the changeable May weather.
The festive night began with the fashion show "Inherited Beauty" in the Ethnographic Exhibition of the museum. Small mannequins from the "Sun" kindergarten paraded in authentic children's costumes, together with their teachers, dressed in traditional women's clothing. A concert by the famous musician Stoyan Fiziev was held in the courtyard of the museum, and several prestigious visiting exhibitions were presented in the halls.
The Archaeological Museum offered visitors the golden mask and ring of the Thracian king Teres, the Borovo Treasure, and a collection of red-figure ceramics from Apollonia Pontica. The Historical Museum, on the other hand, offered an acoustic delight with a recital by the Children's Choir "Milka Stoeva" and a retro journey through old Burgas through exhibitions on urban life in the 1930s and 1940s. The Natural History Museum attracted attention with the exhibition "Guests from Space," presenting a unique collection of meteorites.
Despite the changeable weather, thousands of Burgas residents and guests of the city participated in the celebration of culture, setting a new record for attendance at the Night of the Museums in Burgas.
