Burgas security guards received first aid training for lifesaving

On June 6, 2025, in Burgas, a first aid training was held, aimed at the security guards of local establishments. The initiative is the idea of Mihail Hadzhiyanov, Chairman of the Burgas Municipal Council, in order to prevent serious cases of young people in nightclubs, discos and other entertainment venues.

The training was led by Dr. Stamen Pishev and Dr. Dian Gospodinov from the Association of Young Physicians - Burgas. They emphasized that the profession of security guards is extremely responsible, as they are responsible not only for order, but also for the health and life of visitors. Dr. Pishev explained that in the event of an incident, a quick and competent reaction is of key importance, as every minute of delay reduces the chances of survival by 12%.

The Chairman of the Municipal Council, Mihail Hadzhiyanov, stated that the Municipality of Burgas will continue to organize training for security guards, including for working with defibrillators, as the health and life of citizens are a top priority. At the end of the course, the participants received certificates for completed first aid training.

Other officials were also present at the event, including Commissioner Marin Dimitrov, Head of the Security Police Department at the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior, and Dr. Georgi Pazderov, Chairman of the Regional Health Inspectorate - Burgas.
