Burgas: Terrorist Attack Simulation

Over 300 employees of Burgas Municipality were evacuated as part of a large-scale simulation exercise, conducted with the participation of teams from the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior and the Regional Directorate "Fire Safety and Population Protection".

The exercise, conducted to test the effectiveness of disaster and terrorist attack action plans, was characterized by a high degree of realism. The scene, meticulously developed by the organizers, reproduced a tense situation. A "terrorist" started a fire on the ground floor of the municipal building, triggering a rapid response from the security teams. The air was filled with tension as employees, many of whom showed visible signs of anxiety, hurried to evacuate.

Impressive was the rapid and organized execution of the evacuation plan. In just seven minutes, nearly 350 municipal employees were successfully evacuated from the building. The "terrorist" was apprehended, and the flames were effectively extinguished by the firefighters, preventing more serious damage.

The exercise demonstrated a high degree of coordination and readiness to respond in critical situations.

Such simulation exercises, extremely important for increasing the readiness of institutions in emergency situations, are held twice a year. These exercises are key to practicing and improving disaster action plans, as well as effectively responding to terrorist attacks. The goal is to minimize potential losses and ensure the safety of employees and city residents. The results of this exercise will undoubtedly help further improve security and emergency response systems.
