The "Sunday Horo" initiative in Burgas gathers enthusiasts of folk dances and folklore to preserve and pass on the living dimension of the Bulgarian cultural heritage. The event is open to all and includes dances from various ethnographic regions of the country.

Every Sunday at 7:00 PM, the balustrade leading to the Morsko Casino Cultural Center in Burgas transforms into a center of Bulgarian spirit, rhythm, and tradition. The "Sunday Horo" initiative will gather for the third consecutive year the lovers of folk dances and the live interaction with folklore in an exciting experience.

The event is open to all - beginners, advanced, young and old. Without a stage - just a circle of people and a heartfelt audience, gathered by the love for Bulgarian roots. Participants will have the opportunity to learn and perform horos from all ethnographic regions of Bulgaria: Shopluk, Northern, Dobrudzha, Thracian, Pirin, and Rhodope.

Each region carries its unique rhythm, steps, costumes, and feeling - and they all come alive at the "Sunday Horo". The purpose of the initiative is not just to dance, but to preserve and pass on the folklore wealth of Bulgaria in its living, breathing dimension.

The event is organized by the Municipality of Burgas and aims to encourage an active lifestyle, intergenerational dialogue, and a sense of belonging to the Bulgarian cultural identity. Over the next two Sundays, you can dance horos from the Shopluk region on June 29 and the Dobrudzha region on July 6.
