On June 2, 2025, in Burgas, a ceremony organized by the Municipality of Burgas was held to mark the 149th anniversary of the death of the great Bulgarian Revival, poet, publicist, journalist, and revolutionary Hristo Botev. The event took place in the Sea Garden in front of the Botev monument, where many citizens gathered to pay tribute to the hero and all who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of Bulgaria.

The ceremony included a military ritual with the participation of representative military units from Military Formation 48 940 - Burgas and the Burgas Brass Band. A memorial prayer was offered by Archimandrite Dimitri, Protosynkellos of the Metropolitan of Sliven Arseniy, and the clergy of Burgas. The ceremony was attended by Deputy Mayors Chanka Koralska and Manol Todorov, the Chairman of the Municipal Council Mihail Hadjiyanov, municipal councilors, and representatives of the state and local authorities. The ceremony was hosted by young talents from the "Lyuben Groys" College in Burgas.
