
The construction of the "St. Anastasia" Children's Hospital in Burgas is at an advanced stage and is expected to be completed by the end of 2025, according to Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov. The hospital will serve the region and will be the first specialized center for children's healthcare in the country.
Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov inspected the construction of the "St. Anastasia" Children's Hospital in Burgas and expressed confidence that it will open its doors by the end of the year. Emphasizing the need for modern children's healthcare infrastructure, the Prime Minister indicated that the new hospital will offer excellent material conditions for specialists and will serve half a million children. He called for an end to the disputes surrounding the National Children's Hospital and for its rapid construction.
Mayor Dimitar Nikolov expressed gratitude for the national support and pointed out that the hospital will serve nearly one and a half million people from the region. With 147 beds and 16 departments, it will provide jobs for 120 doctors and 220 nurses. Nikolov added that the project is being implemented by an international consortium with experience in building 70 hospitals worldwide and that the Burgas children's hospital is already part of the European Network of Children's Hospitals.
Minister Ivan Ivanov announced the reconstruction of the streets around the hospital and the allocation of BGN 24 million for the Municipality of Burgas under the "Regions in Development" program. The new hospital will be the first center for children's healthcare in the country, according to Ivanov.
